Project Brief

Museum of Losses for Clouds of Oblivion is a video essay on memory today, between the ruins of modernity and the algorithmic reconstruction of the past by artificial intelligence. Through images of contested monuments, displaced statues, digital archives, feeds, and synthetic faces, the work examines how memory is shaped by systems that both preserve and erase. From São Paulo’s nomadic monuments to Lenin’s dismantling in Berlin, the video asks what remains when history becomes fragment, data, prediction, and image. Rather than seeking to restore a lost totality, it proposes a museum of losses: a space for the unfinished, the unrepaired, and the unrecovered.
