The Portuguese edition of Nomadismos Tecnológicos, edited by Jorge La Ferla and me, is now available throughout Brazil.
The book grew out of a seminar held in Buenos Aires by Argentina’s Fundación Telefónica in partnership with Instituto Sergio Motta, bringing together specialists from international research centers to discuss the impact of mobility on contemporary culture.
It takes a multidisciplinary approach, discussing new cultural practices, emerging aesthetics, sociological impacts, consumer habits, and economic and geopolitical changes.
This diversity of approaches is developed by experts from major research centers and universities, including Brown University, Ontario College, Universidad de San Andrés, PUC-SP, USP and the University of Buenos Aires.
The publication includes an introduction by the editors and 14 essays by the specialists: Alejandro Artopoulos, André Lemos, Andrea di Castro, David McIntosh, Giselle Beiguelman, Lucas Bambozzi, Lucia Santaella, Marcus Bastos, Mariela Yeregui, Martha Ladly, Nelson Brissac Peixoto, Tim Creswell, Wendy Chun and Wolfgang Schäffner.
