The Process and the Artwork

Today at Oi Futuro I am participating in Vanguardas , a project organized by IETV.

Today’s debate addresses process and artwork.

My presentation starts from three approaches that frequently appear in my work:

Process as Accident:

Works resulting from programming errors, installation mishaps, and recording and editing problems.

Process as Strategy:

Works realized through others’ participation, contingent and unpredictable, responding more to a strategy of agency than to a defined plan.

Process as Investigation:

Works that are long-term studies, by-products of reflections on questions such as contemporary nomadism, mobility, and the construction of landscape and territory.
