esc for escape is a cross-media project about error messages: a documentary on life beyond the screen, with outputs on DVD, electronic billboards, and indoor exhibitions, mediated by the internet, SMS, and MMS. The public was invited to submit error messages—text and images—by mobile phone and through the web. Their submissions appeared on a commercial electronic billboard on Avenida Paulista in São Paulo and in the exhibition space at Itaú Cultural.
