No Plata

In what context do critics and creators become hostages to cultural institutions, legitimizing the exchange of free labor for media crumbs? What does the country of the Jeffersons, the Edemars, the Daslu set, and Caras island have in common with the country of the poor, with its public spaces charging admission (sic), million-dollar corporations, and banks claiming serious crises that supposedly make it impossible to pay fees to cultural producers? With these basic questions, No Plata dot Us presents the history of Brazil as read by Google, distributes its “vale-semestralão” voucher, and makes its own media.
