Unfinished Landscape is a series of videos depicting beach landscapes as puzzles, seeking to embrace what is most beautiful about the beach as landscape: its provisional nature, always in the process of remaking itself, yet never complete. Unfinished Landscape, Rio Vermelho documents the Feast of Yemanjá in Salvador, a ritual of offering and celebration whose ecstatic joy the camera’s solemnity can neither capture nor adequately celebrate.
