We Are Still Alive

We Are Still Alive

We Are Still Alive brings together audio recordings of protests from windows against President Jair Bolsonaro’s statements during the coronavirus pandemic. Recorded between March and June 2020 by students in the course Art and Interface Design at the Urban Scale (FAUUSP’s graduate program in Design), it draws inspiration from On Kawara’s works Today (1966–2008) and I’m Still Alive Suicide Telegrams (1969), documenting the forms of resistance that, during quarantine, turned windows into the collective agora of a distributed, anonymous performance.
