Beleza Convulsiva Tropical: the website!

The other day I taught a class at MOLA, a study group coordinated by Fernando Velázquez and Lucas Bambozzi at Fauna.

The class was really a back-and-forth with Lucas, who had been an interlocutor, curator, and facilitator (in the most Deleuzian sense of the word) for much of the work I presented there. At one point, he asked a question that led me to present some projects developing ideas contained, in fragmentary form, in experiments such as I Love Your GIF and my “Cinemas Lascados”: the Minhocão one, the Perimetral one (still in development, at the pace of the Olympic City…), and the Radial one, more wish than reality.

Paisagem Incompleta
Paisagem Incompleta, the website that has yet to go online and triggered the crisis…

Basically, these are landscape videos, like the Cinemas, but of beaches and dunes rather than urban landscapes, to be seen with your hands, like I Love Your GIF, which literally depends on manipulating the images on screen. The series is called Paisagem Incompleta and is a video puzzle. Everyone loved it, and it was deeply unsettling to realize I had left the project unfinished on my computer, overwhelmed by countless demands. I did present some documentation at Paço das Artes in A Invenção da Praia, but the fact is that Paisagem Incompleta remained incomplete. So did the documentation of the Bahia Biennial… In that case it was much worse, because the website was practically ready.

And now it is! And it is HERE.
