Noisy Landscapes

Noisy Landscapes (2013–2016)

This series, Noisy Landscapes, is an invitation to confront urban landscapes with disorder as the essential paradigm for experiencing them. The project investigates the aesthetics of noise and obsolescence, particularly glitch, and the ways they engage with fragmented spaces and our experiences of urban ruins. The entire process, from capturing to editing images, takes place on a mobile phone while in transit, and the images are processed in a wide variety of contexts [airplanes, waiting rooms, taxis, while waiting for phone calls, etc.], using different apps: Satromizer, Glitch Lab, GLTCH, Glitché, among others. Produced since 2013 with different iPhone models, the series unfolds across different platforms and formats.
